High Pressure Homogenizer Introduction

High pressure homogenizers, such as NanoGenizer, prepare nanomaterial by producing high flow velocity through a small orifice, using a specially designed internal fixed geometry under ultra-high pressure (up to 60,000 psi)...

How does high pressure homogenizer work?

The NanoGenizer is a laboratory scale high-pressure homogenizer. There are two segments of the NanoGenizer, the power unit and the core processing unit. The core processing unit is where homogenization occurs...

How to choose a High Pressure Homogenizer?

Opting for an appropriate high-pressure homogenizer is crucial to ensure optimal experimental outcomes and resource efficiency. Here are several key factors to consider when selecting the most suitable high-pressure homogenizer...

High-Shear Mixing versus High-Pressure Homogenization

High shear mixing and high-pressure homogenization are both methods of particle size reduction, homogenization and emulsification. Both methods are based primarily on shear force. However, they have differing advantages and one or the other may be better suited based on your application...

FAQ

How to choose between HandGenizer and NanoGenizer

For the demonstration, we highly recommend using the NanoGenizer over the HandGenizer. The NanoGenizer features a plug-and-use design, making it more user-friendly than the HandGenizer. In contrast, the HandGenizer requires customers to mount it on a table or shelf before use, and unfortunately, we cannot provide any assistance in this regard. Additionally, the HandGenizer has power and application limitations and is prone to clogging, which could potentially create a negative impression on our customers.

What is drain disc is ?

Made of PETE material, the drain disc is commonly used in conjunction with filter membranes to prevent "pore blinding" or the blockage of capillary pores in screen membranes, resulting in high flow rates and increased throughput.

Cleaning procedure, What solvents can be used? Can acids and bases be used to clean?

After the experiment, flush with 10ml of the solvent that exhibits/displays the highest solubility with the sample. Next, flush with 10ml of either ethanol or a weak alkaline water solution containing 0.1% sodium hydroxide. Finally, rinse with 10ml of deionized water. You can choose between weak acids and bases but avoid strong acids, as stainless steel is not resistant to the corrosive effect of strong acids.

For the NG45k unit, Genizer doesn't recommend running at 45ksi on the 45ksi model for long periods of time. If so, why?

The NG-45K unit is designed for laboratory use, specifically for formulation purposes. However, if it's run continuously at high pressure for extended periods, the motor can overheat and the components may wear out more quickly. For longer usage, we recommend considering our Pilot-45K single pump option, flow rate of approximately 6-20L/hour.
